Teamwork is part of the DNA of Studios Casagrande

The complementary talents that make our team so strong were illustrated recently when Didier and Clément got together to cover an event organized by CISAC at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). This duo work enriches the experience of each of them to bring to the client a broader vision of the event. CISAC - the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers - is the world's leading network of authors' societies (also known as "collective management organizations" or "CMOs"). It organized a series of meetings in Geneva on October 7 & 9, 2015:

- on October 7 between professionals of the film world on the issue of authors' rights in the audiovisual field. Producers such as Bobby Bebi (India), Andy Paterson (United Kingdom) were able to exchange with authors such as Olivia Hetreed (scriptwriter and President of the UK Writers Guild, United Kingdom), Benjamin Legrand (writer, France) or Angèle Diabang (director, Senegal)

- On October 9, artists and experts discussed the issue of droit de suite. Resale rights ensure that visual artists receive a small percentage of the sale price when their original artwork is resold by an auction house or gallery, allowing them to profit from the growing popularity of their work. Born in 1920, this right currently exists in 81 countries, but art markets as important as China, the United States and Switzerland still do not apply it. CISAC, supported by WIPO, has launched a campaign for the adoption of an international treaty to harmonize this right. Four speakers addressed this issue: the sculptor Ousman Sow (sculptor and vice-president of CISAC*) as well as Marie-Anne Ferry-Fall (Director General of ADAGP / Society of Authors in the Graphic and Plastic Arts), Javier Gutiérrez Vicén (Director General of VEGAP / Visual Entidad de Gestión de Artistas Plásticos), Gadi Oron (Director General of CISAC*)
