What can a Photo Studio reserve as a new service....?
Answer: a photo studio that specializes in portrait photography needs to broaden its offer... it's not enough to photograph human beings. In Switzerland, almost one person in two owns a pet... so it seems only natural to offer portraits of owners and their pets.
To this end, Studios Casagrande has created the new "Animal My Friend" service.
This idea is also a collaboration with Rafaela, who is currently doing an internship at the Studios. She presents a few ideas for welcoming an animal to the Studio in the best possible conditions.
Pascal completes and gives concrete elements to understand the difference between a "classic" portrait photo shoot and one with an animal:
1. Understand the psychology of the master/mistress and his/her pet. With the animal, the dee is also to set up detour strategies by throwing kibbles or using accessories. The time needed for a session is difficult to estimate and can vary from one animal to another. That's why we've set up hourly rates where everyone - the owner, the animal and the photo team - will do their utmost to ensure that things run as smoothly and on time as possible.
2. The Studios have acquired a new range of continuous lights (Hobolite) which are used to light this presentation (and which we also intend to use for video shoots).
3. Generally, in the Studio we photograph people in front of neutral photo backgrounds (white / black / grey etc). Our friends at 4 pates... are however closer to the ground. The framing also changes and the ground is now part of the photo... we are currently investing in photo backgrounds specially designed for this purpose.
4. What's delivered at the end of a photo shoot? As with all Studios services, a web gallery is available for life, so that the photos taken can be retrieved at any time. But what souvenir will the owner keep of his pet, even after he's gone? We've chosen to offer a giant enlargement included in the package. Framing is available as an option.
5. A photo session with an animal can also be a great gift, or, as the end of the year approaches, the subject of a greetings card.
